The State of Indiana’s efforts to counter the recession are paying off. Still, reduced tax revenues are forcing Indiana to make painful choices like paying hospitals less to treat Medicaid patients.
The Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend has launched a fundraising campaign for a new St. Joseph’s High School. The Diocese hopes to raise $35.5 million by June 2011.
Indianapolis, Evansville and South Bend all slipped down the Milken Institute’s 2009 Best Performing Cities list, which ranks cities on creating jobs and economic growth. Moving up were Elkhart and Gary.
